Financial Coaching
Bridging Therapy and Practicality
Financial coaching can be seen as the practical arm of financial therapy. My approach goes beyond improving your relationship with money; it's about empowering you and your partner, with the skills and tools to effectively manage your finances, while not ignoring the emotional aspects that often intertwine with money.
My background is unique in that I bring together my expertise as a mental health professional with extensive experience in the business world. This allows me to understand the emotional and psychological dimensions of your financial challenges while also providing practical, actionable solutions. I can provide these services for both personal finances and small businesses.
I'm comfortable with numbers, enjoy creating budgets and spreadsheets, and can help you establish a financial system that works for you and reflects your values. Our collaboration can range from educational support to hands-on assistance, such as tracking your monthly expenses or building a savings plan. The goal is to help you and your partner achieve a sense of control and confidence with your finances, perhaps for the first time in your life.
I can also assist you with other related aspects of financial management, such as understanding retirement accounts (401(k)s, IRAs), navigating tax deadlines, and determining your affordability for a new home. While I'm not a financial planner, I stay abreast of current financial trends and have access to valuable resources through my membership in the Financial Planning Association. I can guide you through many aspects of financial planning and connect you with qualified professionals when needed.
